PAD London 2026: Where Jewellery Meets Art

A wonderful visit to PAD London 2026, held from 13 to 18 October in the heart of Mayfair's Berkeley Square, where exceptional craftsmanship, contemporary design and fine jewellery come together.

Celebrating its 18th edition, PAD London welcomed 67 international exhibitors, offering a fascinating glimpse into the world of collectible design and jewellery, where creativity goes far beyond traditional notions of luxury.

One of our favourite stops was Second Petale Jewellery Gallery, founded and curated by Arina Pouzoullic, whose beautifully presented exhibition, Into the Dreams…, brought together an extraordinary selection of independent jewellery designers.

The gallery's concept explored jewellery as a poetic expression of memories, imagination and emotion, beautifully connecting the worlds of art and craftsmanship.

NADA GHAZAL | ECHOES OF EMOTION

A particular highlight was discovering Lebanese jewellery designer Nada Ghazal and her first full high jewellery collection, Echoes, presented in collaboration with Second Petale.

Known for her sculptural designs, beautifully textured gold and deeply personal approach to jewellery, Nada's creations have always carried a distinctive artistic identity.

Her new collection explores five emotional themes: light, dreams, freedom, grace and memory.

One particularly fascinating detail is the reinterpretation of her iconic Fuse earrings, originally created in 2016, now transformed into a high jewellery statement featuring larger champagne diamonds.

As featured in Wallpaper*, the collection represents a new chapter of creative freedom for the designer, allowing her to explore exceptional gemstones, larger proportions and more intricate craftsmanship.

FERNANDO JORGE | THE ART OF UNEXPECTED MATERIALS

Another remarkable highlight was Fernando Jorge, whose distinctive Brazilian design language continues to explore the relationship between nature, movement and sculptural forms.

His new Armour collection introduces a fascinating concept of jewellery as a symbol of strength and protection.

What makes the collection particularly interesting is the unexpected combination of precious and natural materials, including diamonds, smoky quartz, ebony, Brazilian wood and tagua seed, often referred to as vegetable ivory.

These contrasting textures create a beautiful balance between softness and strength, transforming fine jewellery into wearable sculpture.

MORE JEWELLERY HIGHLIGHTS FROM PAD LONDON

Beyond these discoveries, PAD London brought together an exceptional selection of jewellery houses and independent designers.

Hemmerle continued to challenge conventional ideas of luxury through its extraordinary combinations of precious gemstones and unexpected materials.

One of the most remarkable pieces featured at PAD was the house's Harmony bangle, incorporating 1,799 old-cut diamonds totalling 65.64 carats. According to jewellery journalist Katerina Perez, its creation required more than 500 hours of craftsmanship.

Elie Top presented imaginative, theatrical creations, including pieces from his Magica Naturae and La Dame au Lac collections, demonstrating his extraordinary ability to bring fantasy and architectural influences into high jewellery.

Nikos Koulis captivated collectors with his distinctive approach to contemporary glamour, combining diamonds, gold and unconventional materials.

Buccellati, meanwhile, celebrated the extraordinary artistry of Italian goldsmithing, presenting intricate creations that resemble delicate lace sculpted from precious metal.

WHEN JEWELLERY BECOMES COLLECTIBLE ART

What makes PAD London particularly special is the dialogue between jewellery, contemporary art and collectible design.

As highlighted in a recent Forbes feature, the fair continues to attract collectors who appreciate jewellery not simply as an accessory, but as an artistic expression worthy of collecting.

With independent designers increasingly experimenting with unconventional materials, innovative techniques and sculptural forms, the boundaries between jewellery and art are becoming beautifully blurred.

THE MORE4ID PERSPECTIVE

What we particularly love about PAD London is its ability to bring independent jewellery designers into the wider world of art collecting.

Today, exceptional jewellery is not simply about precious stones or beautiful craftsmanship.

It is about individuality, creative vision, emotional connections and the stories behind every piece.

For us at MORE4ID, discovering and celebrating extraordinary jewellery talent is always a source of inspiration.

PAD London once again reminded us that some of the most exciting developments in jewellery happen when designers have the freedom to challenge conventions and express their creativity without boundaries.

Because exceptional jewellery is not simply worn. It is experienced, treasured and collected.

Until next time, PAD London! ✨
